Waking up on a past Wednesday afternoon

The day she woke up in the hospital, everybody was worried how the trauma would change her. But the only change would be a scar in her shoulder. Therefore, her life went on almost as if nothing had happened. Every weekday she would wake up at six a.m to go to the gym, then go to work until six p.m if she is lucky, watch reruns of Seinfield in her boxer shorts as she makes dinner, goes out for a movie every tuesday...Yet her parents were overprotected, her friends were still in shock, even unknown neighbors awkwardly would try to ask her questions and the answer was always the same: "I don´t remember".

Now, after so long. She is starting to remember. The alarm, the fight, the shot...while she sleeps, the thoughts haunt her with a new detail of what happened. She wakes up abruptly every so often and his light sleep makes him perceive what she is going through. However he doesn't move, he doesn´t say a word. She is reliving what he has had to relive for months.

Wednesday blues II

Her ponnytale is loose. You can now see the dark roots of her hair, which reveals the secret. She isn´t a blond. Her fair skin and freckles made it believable.

At first, this lie made him feel more confortable with himself but also curious. The problem is, Jason always had a thing for blonds...And the realization of this fact unsettles him and decides to walk from one side of the room to the window.

Would it have been different if her hair had been brunette at that time? - He asked himself as he saw her once more.

Right now isn´t the time to see her. He needs to hold on to his hatred. Jason is the person he wants to think about. Not her and how each of her tears has made her cheeks saltier.

Wednesday blue

As he turns off the light not to see her, the darkness in the room overwhelms her and she begins to sobs. Winter is also felt in this small and almost completely unfournished room.

He thinks to himself as he sits in the only chair. He leans almost 90° with each elbow supported by one knee as he holds his gun. Why did it have to be her? Now I have her close again. I lost soo much because of her...Jason.

Regular wednesday

"I saw you and after that, I met you. But I never imagined I would ever forget you! Yet I did" She pauses and looks up at him.

"You came in the door, the guard smiled at you and you said hello. You didn´t look up or down, you already knew the place and the plan. Come in around 9am a wednesday, the calmest time of the week. Less people so it´s not so much of a mess and enough so that they take you seriously. You were waiting for what as I was waiting to cash my check?" she asks him as she remembers the day she was shot. However, she receives no answer.

"I was the last person in the 3rd line, far from the windows. It was decided, destiny to be your hostage". She looks at him again but this time holding back the tears.

Hogar
